My topic for the Inquiry Contract is year round school. I worked a lot on my paper over the weekend to make sure that I was going to have enough information to write all three papers. I am doing very well on my first paper. I still need to write one or two more paragraphs and then edit it. I should be done tonight or tomorrow night and then I can start thinking about the next paper. I have been reading some studies done about year round school. They are very interesting and will help me prove my point in the paper. I feel that I have started in the right direction for my papers!

That's great! Wow, you're really head of the gang! On the ball! Awesome! Year-round school sounds like a really interesting topic! I don't know if you're arguring for or against it, but I had a friend in elementary school who went to the year-round magnet schools at IPS and she really liked it!
Yeah I also had a friend that went to a year round school and even though I love summer as much as anyone, he often made me jealous. He would always brag because he would have longer breaks than I would on everything besides summer. Also I feel like one would retain much more information without nearly a three month break. Especially in something like a foreign language or math. We always seem to do some review in the beginning of the year, while they can just keep on working. Good topic!
